Having students work together collaboratively on course material can improve student engagement, buy-in, and learning outcomes. Challenges may arise without helpful guidelines for students on how to share the responsibilities, collaborate, and resolve differences, particularly across lines often defined by race and other characteristics related to identity and in the remote learning environment.
