Yale University is committed to improving the world today and for future generations through outstanding education. Yale will uphold this mission despite a variety of circumstances that might require the University to adjust teaching and learning practices.
This site provides guidance for faculty, teaching fellows, and students across the University. We have recently added resources to specifically support instructors as they transition back to in-person teaching during the fall 2021 semester.
COVID-19: Yale's Plans for Fall 2021
Yale will return to in-person teaching and learning during the Fall 2021 Semester. According to President Peter Salovey, "Our plans for this semester are based on the advice of public health experts and on all that we learned last year from successfully reactivating research across campus and conducting in-residence education for many of our students. We will create the most enriching educational environment possible this year while of course prioritizing the health and safety of faculty, staff, students, and all those we encounter in the broader community."
